I’m Chloe! I decided that I’d like to open my posts with what I’m currently reading in case you’d like to check them out as well. I’m hoping over time we will be getting to know more of each other in some way or another, but right now I’d love to jump in on why I’m here. I have started this blog in hopes that my story and journey to ‘Building a Better Chloe” might resonate with you on some level. The idea of starting this stemmed from a well thought out post I made on Facebook last weekend. I had started it in the notes section on my phone so I could take as much time to edit before it went out. My post was about how I had totally killed it for one week on a new goal I was working on. I realize that sounds pretty wimpy for a whole post, but to me, getting my screen time down 32% was HUGE! I loved writing my experience and sharing how I made it harder for myself to get to social media apps by moving them to the last pages of my phone, something I learned from a book on habits. You have to make it harder for yourself to get to the things that distract you. By the end of the post, I realized my irony of bragging about lower screen time while also adding to said screen time by making the post. Conundrum right? I guess I could have made the post from my computer and saved myself time on my phone, but that wasn’t the point. I didn’t want to just post and receive praise about how awesome I was being, I wanted to use my trials and tribulations to help other people realize that they too can do this, I am not special. Well, I am and we all are, but you get what I mean. The following day I checked my notifications and had received lots of comments rooting for me or cheering me on. That felt good, but I wanted to do more, share more because I wasn’t just working on the one good habit, I had TONS of others behind the scenes that I hadn’t posted about! I didn’t love the idea of continuing to post all of this on Facebook so I began my research that led me to purchasing the domain: buildingabetterchloe.com. Thank you so much for reading my first post and I look forward to sharing much more!
